    Understanding Volcanoes: This is a hands on lesson where students create volcano models to help them better understand the different types of volcanoes. The lesson plan includes discussion questions and a short writing assignment.

    Earth’s Dramatic History: This lesson plan was designed for middle school classes who are studying the earth. During this lesson students work together to create a timeline; each student is responsible for a different animal or group of animals and they have to research where they came in and out of earth’s timeline.

    How Viruses Travel: This lesson plan can be used while studying viruses in middle school science. This lesson looks at how viruses travel by experimenting using jars filled with four and a few that have baking soda.     This website is a free podcast hosting site. Teachers can use this website to help them create classroom podcasts and make them available to all the students as well as parents and family members.
    Mind 42
    This is a free collaborative mind mapping tool. This is an excellent tool for students to work together in brainstorming activities. This tool would be best for the higher elementary grades as well as middle and high school classes.
    Photo Peach
    Photo peach is a slide show creator. Students can use photo peach to take stories they write to new levels by adding pictures to create fun slideshows. They can also use it to present research projects. This tool would be appropriate for older elementary middle and high school students.

    NEA's Maintaining Discipline: This site provides tips for maintaining discipline in the classroom. The site provides different tips for the beginning of year, a few months into the year as well as things to do through out the entire year to maintain discipline for a well managed class. This is a great resource for teachers of any grade level but it is especially valuable for elementary grade levels.
    The Ultimate Organized Classroom: This is a guide for creating a classroom that is highly organized for smooth management of all aspects of school life. The article is found on the Teacher-vision website which allows for viewing of 5 items on their website but then requires a paid subscription for any further viewing. The article is good for teachers of any grade level.
    Lesson Plans Inc. Classroom Management: This website has 10 'rules' of classroom management: Student Engagement strategies, classroom procedures, check for understanding, safe classroom environment, classroom consequences, voice and body language, Academically challenge, student attention, classroom seating chart and collaborative learning. The site is geared toward middle and high school classes but can be used by elementary as well.
    Kim's Korner for Teacher Talk
    This website has a large collection of tips for teachers on different areas of classroom management. The website is made for elementary teachers especially in the primary grades. The site also offers other great teaching resources.
